Finance Assistant required (Hemel Hempstead)

£25,000 pa

Immediate start

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Double Entry Bookkeeping

  • Bank reconciliations involving high volume transactions and pivot tables

  • Weekly Payroll Journals

  • Exporting/importing data between payroll and accounting systems

  • Preparing various system based reports

  • Payroll for approximately 45 staff

  • Assisting with Quarterly VAT Returns

Position Requirements


  • GCSE’s and preferably A Levels or equivalent (AAT/ACCA studiers welcome)

  • Confident with accounting systems, ideally Quickbooks Online and Dext

  • Payroll experience desirable

  • Excel skills including simple pivot tables

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Systems based and comfortable working in a paperless office environment

  • Polite, enthusiastic and presentable

  • Team player with a flexible attitude

  • Willingness to learn and progress

  • Knowledge of VAT and Payroll rules in relation to the processing of information


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 20-37.5 per week
