The Role
They will plan the routes for customers deliveries as a priority.
The Transport Planner will ensure that all jobs are complted on scheduled days while liaising with the customer to obtain booking details.
They will also present KPI’s in relation to compliance, costs and errors.
The Transport Planner will ensure that drivers hours are recorded and maintained.
The Transport Planner will take ensure that EH&S procedures are always adhered to.
They will monitor, maintain and promote good housekeeping practices.
They will confirm that all jobs paperwork is in order at the start and end of every shift.
They will also manage drivers HR requirements working alongside the Ops Manager
The successful Transport Planner will have excellent customer service skills.
Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills.
They will have excellent interpersonal skills and geographical knowledge.
The successful Transport Planner must have the ability to multi-task and be able to work well under pressure.
Strong IT skills and great attention to detail.
