As a Team Leader/Payroll Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a motivated and high-performing payroll team, ensuring every weekly and monthly payroll runs smoothly, accurately, and on time. As a valued member of the payroll team, you’ll balance delivering timely, consistent service with a keen eye for quality.You’ll build and nurture positive relationships both inside and outside the business, helping to shape a payroll team that’s not only efficient and streamlined but truly customer focused.Joining our dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in supporting and empowering our leaders, making payroll simple and clear for everyone. Skills Set For Success

  • Proven experience managing a payroll team and delivering weekly and monthly payroll processes to required timescales

  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement and best practice in payroll operations

  • Extensive practical payroll knowledge and up-to-date understanding of relevant legislation

  • CIPP qualification or equivalent

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and payroll applications, including ResourceLink

  • Ability to manage payroll data accurately, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and data protection requirements

  • Experience producing timely reconciliations, reports, and maintaining payroll procedures and manuals

  • High levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism

  • Strong partnership skills to collaborate effectively with 1HR, Reward team, HR Operations, and external bodies such as HMRC
